Manchester City signs new deal
Manchester City has signed a five year new deal with their midfielder Michael Jonson.
Jonson has ended months of speculation over his future and will now play with City until 2013. He have got excellent reviews since he entered the City first team about two years ago.
I believe that Arsenal and Liverpool aren’t happy now. They have been watching his progress. But with City going in to a new era after the takeover by the Abu Dhabi-based United Group for Development and Investment, Johnson has chosen that his future is with City.
City fans will be pleased with this news who are keen to keep hold of young talents like Joe Hart and Micah Richards in the midst of the revolution at the club and tying Johnson down to a long-term deal should support the side for the coming season.
Next stop for Mark Hughes’ squad is Cyprus for Thursday’s UEFA Cup battle against Omonia Nicosia. Let’s just hope that Johnson can play.
